This was a case in which the President made a declaration of “non-parentage” in circumstances where a fertility clinic had made administrative errors in the taking and recording of consent to parenthood. The President also considered the ways in which a birth certificate can be amended pursuant to the provisions of the Births and Deaths Registration Act 1953 (as amended).
