Fareha Choudhury, instructed by Campbell Chambers Solicitors, represented the children, through their children’s guardian, in Re P (Fabricated and Induced Illness: Fact-Finding) [2026] EWFC 112 (B).

The case concerned allegations of fabricated and induced illness. The court found that the mother had medicalised her child, presenting her as a seriously unwell child and thereby hindering her development. The court also found the mother fabricated symptoms which the child did not have and induced illness by restricting the child’s food intake.
