About the speakers
Sally Stone practices exclusively in family law as it relates to children. Whilst she has an emphasis on public law work – primarily care proceedings and adoption – she also acts in private law proceedings, for parents, extended family members and children in Rule 16 proceedings, particularly where there is a fact-finding element. In public law proceedings, Sally represents children, parents and local authorities and is particularly experienced in cases involving serious injury to or death of children with technical, complex or disputed medical evidence. She is also frequently instructed in cases involving multi-generational sexual abuse, fabricated and induced illness, mental health issues, and where there are concurrent criminal proceedings.
Patrick Paisley has a full-service family law practice with a particular emphasis on public law children work. He regularly represents parents, guardians and Local Authorities from the initial application through to trial. He has experience of cases involving non-accidental injury, fabricated and induced illness, domestic homicide, sexual abuse, placement in a foreign jurisdiction, chronic neglect, alcohol & drug misuse, mental health issues, physical and emotional harm.
