Infected Blood Inquiry

Chambers is delighted to announce that Marlene Cayoun has been appointed as junior counsel to the Infected Blood Inquiry being chaired by Sir Brian Langstaff.

The Inquiry will examine why NHS patients in the UK were given infected blood or infected blood products, the impact upon those patients and their families, the response from the government and authorities, the nature of any support provided following infection and questions of consent.

Marlene will be building on her experience with the Independent Inquiry into Child Sexual Abuse and continuing to expand Chambers’ work in the field of Public Law as it overlaps with our existing expertise in working with vulnerable litigants in the Court of Protection and the Family Court.

All at 1GC|Family Law congratulate Marlene on the appointment.
