Tom Wilson, instructed by TV Edwards, acted on behalf of a young person, through his children's guardian, in the recent case of Re T (Inherent Jurisdiction: Deprivation of Liberty) [2026] EWCA Civ 307.

The local authority, supported by the Children's Guardian, appealed against the decision of the High Court not to extend an order authorising the deprivation of the young person's liberty. The Court of Appeal allowed the appeal and extended the order until a further review hearing.
