In this case Karen Kabweru-Namulemu appeared for the appellant, instructed by Obaseki Solicitors, and Janet Bazley KC and Luke Eaton appeared for the second respondent (pro bono), instructed by Creighton & Partners. The Court of Appeal determined who bears the burden of proof on an application for a declaration of parentage (and the intersection with the HFEA 2008). The appeal was dismissed.
