Deirdre Fottrell KC and Tom Wilson acted for the respondent father in the recent decision of A v B and C [2023] EWCA Civ 360. The Court of Appeal dismissed the mother’s second appeal against the trial judge’s fact-finding decision.

In doing so, the Court of Appeal endorsed the guidance given by Knowles J, when dismissing the first appeal, as to the Family Court’s approach to allegations of rape and sexual abuse made by one parent against the other.
