Andrew Bagchi KC appeared for a child in a long fact-finding hearing where the court unusually found that a series of fractures sustained by a baby in the first weeks of life (including the first hours of life) were genuinely unexplained. The case had a number of unusual features including the presence of a very rare inherited genetic variant. In the result, the threshold allegations of inflicted harm were not proved.
