This year we saw a record 134 skeleton arguments submitted for the first round, followed by 8 mooters in the semi-final (judged by Richard Jones KC and Lucy Bennett) and 4 outstanding finalists. Huge congratulations to all of this year’s finalists - Isabella Cox, Eilidh Rowan, Alice Greenbury and Emma O’Brien - and in particular to this year’s winner, Isabella.
A heartfelt thank you also goes to The Honourable Ms Justice Henke, who generously gave up an evening to judge the final.
We believe it’s important to hold this moot, open to anyone pursuing pupillage, because it supports, encourages and develops the advocacy skills of the next generation of family law practitioners. There are comparatively few opportunities to gain first-hand experience of the world of family law, and we are proud to offer one of them.
We are already looking forward to welcoming a new cohort of mooters in 2026.
