Practice Overview

Sylvie joined chambers in September 2024 following successful completion of her pupillage. Prior to joining 1GC Family Law, Sylvie completed a PhD in Law in Florence, Italy. Her research was focussed on surrogacy regulation and included a semester as a visiting scholar at UC Berkeley interviewing attorneys and gestational carriers about their experiences. She is keen to remain involved in assisted reproduction law whilst also working towards building a wider family practice. 

During her graduate studies, Sylvie volunteered with various organisations including the Community Legal Advice Centre at The City Law School. Through this, she worked with both professional and lay clients on a wide range of common law and family matters.
