Practice Overview

• Children (Private Law)

  Liz regularly represents clients at all stages of private law proceedings. She has particular experience representing parties in cases involving serious and complex allegations of abuse, as well as cases involving alienating behaviour and implacable hostility. Liz also has considerable experience in specific issue cases, including change of name, change of schooling and issues concerning vaccinations. 

  Liz has a particular interest in relocation applications, both internal and international.  

  Liz also represents rule 16.4 guardians.

• Children (Public Law)

  Liz accepts instructions to act on behalf of all parties within public law proceedings, including prospective special guardians. Liz has experience with cases concerning allegations of fabricated or induced illness.

• Domestic Violence & Injunctions

  Liz regularly represents clients who are involved in proceedings brought under the Family Law Act 1996, including non-molestation orders and occupation orders. Liz has significant experience in proceedings involving allegations of serious domestic abuse, including in cases where allegations are linked to ongoing or imminent Children Act proceedings.

• International Family Law

  Liz has extensive experience in international family law. She regularly appears in complex international child abduction matters, concerning both Hague and non-Hague Convention countries, independently and as junior counsel. 

  Liz also represents parties in proceedings bought pursuant to Article 21 Hague Convention 1980.
