Practice Overview
Beth joined Chambers in September 2021 after completion of her pupillage under the supervision of Philip Perrins, Laura Briggs KC and Richard Jones. Beth is building a broad practice and welcomes instructions across the full spectrum of family law.
Before joining chambers, Beth worked as a child protection social worker for and taught undergraduate law at City University as a visiting lecturer.
Beth accepts direct access instructions.

Children (Public Law)
Beth has experience of care and other public children proceedings. She has represented local authorities, parents, children and potential Special Guardians, including where allegations of neglect, abuse, non-accidental injury, mental health issues and drug/alcohol abuse have been made.
Beth also has experience in applications for secure accommodation and deprivation of liberty orders representing the child, parents and the local authority.

Children (Private Law)
Beth regularly acts for parents and children in section 8 Children Act 1989 applications at all stages including final hearings and fact-finding hearings. Beth has experience working on cases which feature serious allegations, intractable contact disputes, where a rule 16.4 Guardian has been appointed, and applications for relocation enforcement, variation, and change of residence.

Family Finance & Property
Beth practices in all aspects of financial remedies, including enforcement, variation and interim relief. Beth is regularly instructed to appear at all stages of financial remedy proceedings, including FDAs, FDRs and final hearings.
Beth also has experience advising on TOLATA applications, and welcomes instructions in this area.

International Family Law
Beth has appeared at all levels up to the High Court on matters relating to international family law, including child abduction within public and private proceedings. Beth has experience providing written advice on international family law matters.

Domestic Violence & Injunctions
Beth regularly represents clients who are seeking or responding to applications for injunctions linked to domestic violence or occupation of the family home.

Modern Families & Surrogacy
Beth has a special interest in surrogacy law. She has represented clients in the High Court both independently and as a junior in applications under the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Act 2008.

Divorce and matrimonial proceedings
Beth has experience representing clients in defended divorces and jurisdiction contests, including cases concerning disputes as to the forum conveniens.
