Sharon Segal to be appointed as King’s Counsel

We are delighted to announce that Sharon Segal is to be appointed King's Counsel.

The appointment was made by His Majesty The King on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, following consideration by the independent King’s Counsel Selection Panel. The Lord Chancellor will preside over the appointment ceremony in March.

Nkumbe Ekaney KC and Andrew Norton KC, Joint Heads of Chambers, are delighted to share the news that Sharon Segal is to be appointed as one of His Majesty’s Counsel. She is an outstanding advocate and will make a superb silk. Wonderful news for Chambers.

Sharon specialises exclusively in cases involving children, both in private law and public law proceedings, which results in her being instructed in the most complex of cases within each area. She is consistently sought after in challenging High Court cases, particularly those regarding intractable care arrangements. Sharon has extensive experience of cases involving intricate factual and legal issues, for which she is adept at identifying novel legal arguments which have since developed the law. Outside of her individual practice she is well-known to the family law community through her current role as co-chair of the Association of Lawyers for Children.

Congratulations Sharon.
